Some of my Christmas cards

Here are some Christmas cards I made this year. There were more but I mailed them out before I realized I forgot to take a picture of them. I do that with a lot of my projects. I've been checking out a lot of blogs and You Tube and some of the cards are so lovely they make my jaw drop. Merry Christmas to all you wonderful talented, bloggy friends. Be safe and God Bless...Hugs, Debi

Advent calender

I made this Advent Calendar for my daughter. It's made out of small match boxes. I put ribbon for the pulls and decorated the boxes with paper. Used some bling, flowers, cricut cuts and numbers. The over all size it about 12x12. There are also some stickers. I only did it for the odd days of Dec. If I would have done one for each day, it would have been way too big.  Let me know if you made an Advent calendar, I'd love to come look at it. Hugs, Debi

Santa card

Isn't this card cute? I can't take credit for the idea of the beard on this card. I saw a card like this over at Tracey's web site...craft junky too. She made the cutest card like this (only better) and I wanted to try my hand at it. It's not the same but I put my own twist on this one. I think she is the queen of doodling. Okay, I just wanted to share this card with you all today.  Yes I did give it away lol.  I'm almost done with all my Christmas projects. Hugs, Debi

Cookies...YUM!

Ya hoo...another entry.  I'm not much of a baker but my hubby just loves these cookies fresh from the oven. My sister taught me when I was young that the secret to a good cookie is not to over bake it. These came out so nice and soft and crinkled on the top just like they should. My favorite cookies is a suger cookies with frosting on top. Tell me what your favirite cookie is. Happy baking... Hugs, Debi

I painted it and added some chunky glitter and used my die cuts in the center with a stick on snowflake. I'm going to enter this at gettingcricky.com Sunday challage. It's been a very long time sense I'v entered any challenges. Stop by her blog and check out the DT projects they are awesome. Thanks for looking. Warm hugs, Debi

A card box

This is a card with a box. I put some wonderful little votive candles in the box part and made the card area into a birthday card for my daughter, her birthday is Oct also. Here is where I found the instructions for this project. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aNKc-t0AxbI I'm sure there are other places on YT for this but I found this first and used it. I think it turned out so pretty. I want to make more of these if I have time.

A birthday card

I'm going to play catch up here. I have a few projects to post so I might need to post more then one a day. First of all here is a birthday card I made for my sister in Oct. She is one of the sweetest people I know. If she wasn't my sister I would want her for my friend. All of my sisters are my best friends...and my brother is too. As you can see it isn't really straight but I always say if you want a perfect card you might have to go buy one for $5. Hand made cards are always special. Thanks for stopping by and looking today. I do hope you will leave a comment and let me know what you think or if you've made a birthday card and want to share let me know so I can hop over and look. Warm winter hugs, Debi

My sweety made this for my craft room. I love it and wanted to share it.
I've been going thru some files and found a lot of photo's I haven't posted of Father's day cards and Birthday cards etc. I will get them posted and then keep up on my most recent projects. I'm looking for an advent calendar that I can make and not have to have a SVG file. I don't have SCAL.
I'm so happy you stopped by...thank you my bloggy family for sticking with me. I'm getting back into my craft room and will be posting a lot more. Big sweet hugs, Debi

Ah, at last I'm entering a challenge. Creations by Gill is having a scrapbox challenge. Get it? "Scrapbox". This one was easy for me as I have more scraps then probley anyone.  I'v been wanting to make a card like this fold for awhile now. Dawn over at dawn5377 on youtube did a really simple version of this card and ta da...I did it. The papers arn't real straight but if our cards were perfect they would be store bought, right?  Head on over to creationsbygillm.blogspot.com and check it out. Her DT did a great job on thier projects.  Thanks for stopping by. I always like to hear from you and what you think.  Hugs my sweet friends, Debi

Finely made a card.

I wanted to make a card for a young lady who is really my daughters friend but I like her, she is a sweetheart of a person.  She went through some hard times and I wanted to let her know I was thinking about her. There aren't any cricut cuts on here. The flower is from my stash that I bought last year. The paper is DCWV. Thanks for stopping by...Im trying real hard to get back into the swing of things here. Hugs my sweet friends, Debi

Altered pic frame

Sorry I'v been mia. My mind hasn't been right for awhile but I'ts getting better and thank you to my followers for hanging with me. I'm trying to keep crafting but nothing seems to looks right. I do like how this little frame turned out. I thought I would post it and keep my blog going as best I can. I still look at blogs and watch You Tube. I'm still amazed at the talent there is here on this great bloggy world. I love you all. Hugs, Debi

Congrats, class of 2011

Hello crafters.  I have some cards I'v just loaded on my PC. I want to post them even though they are a little old now.  Well not really too old but I made this graduation card back in June.  I used  3 different carts.  3 Birds on Parade, Create a Critter and Wild Card. I'm not sure you can see the little tassle on the hat. I also used my Cuddle bug to cut out the Congrats and used Swiss Dot on the background. I made this for a guy to give to his Niece and he like it so well he paid me for it. (yippy)  Thanks for stopping by. Hope you'll leave a comment and tell me what if you like it.  Hugs, Debi

My daughter started a web site ittybittybracelets. Please go check it out. I think you'll like what you see.  Thanks for stopping by and enjoying this pic of my sweet Raina.  Hugs, to all...Debi

I really like blog awards, thank you Susan.

Is this award cute or what? Susan from Cricut and Grasshopper was sweet enough to give this award to my blog. Please take the time to click and visit her and give her some bloggy love.  So, I want to pass this along to some blogs I like to visit on a regular basis. I hope you will visit these blogs...you won't be sorry. I'v said before and I'll say it again...I love being part of this crafting blog world.
Just a note. It has been a very busy summer so far. I'v been busy with family reunions and got to meet my new Granddaughter in MN. But I'll be back to crafting real soon. I have made a few cards but I sent them out and forgot to take pic's of them. Big crafty hugs to everyone.

Enjoy your award ladies. Keep up the wonderful crafting. Your friend and crafting buddy. Debi

"Your in my thoughts." I made these little roses myself from a video on YT you can find the video here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=weLkIUeAvmA.  I like the way this card came out. I made for a friend who just found out she has cancer. How sad for her. She is only 62. I hope she is a fighter. I'm sure each of us has been touched one way or another with this awful thing.
I have had blogger issues. I still can't sign in to leave comments. I'm just now able to post projects. Is anyone else having these troubles? If you've been able to fix them can you let me know how. I can still enjoy your blogs but I have to leave comments as annomous.(I know that is misspelled)  Hugs to all...Debi

A Tweet B-Day Card...

So, I didn't have a tweet birthday wishes stamp so I crossed out the S and wrote in a T.  Birds On Parade. How cute is this bird in the birthday hat? And I used one of the pretty flowers that Schell from Schell's Craft Corner sent me and put a pearl in it. A boarder of birthday hats and a ribbon and there you have it...a tweet birthday card. The girl I sent this to really liked it and sent me a message on Facebook. So let me know if think it's cute too. Hugs, Debi

Grad Card

The best part about this card is the tassel. I braided some embrodrey floss and undid the end for the tassel part. My friend, who's daughter is graduating this year, made this card and I helped by doing the cuts and the tassel. Oh, and that is a real silver button on the cap too. On the inside we used a punch that looks like paper torn out of a note book and embossed "Congrats". She was so happy with the way it turned out. I like it too. How about you? Leave a comment and let me know what you think. Hugs, Debi

Altered Picture Frame

I made this picture frame for my sister. It's her birthday. I'ts one of the dollor frames from Micheals. I used the crackle paint. I made all the flowers myself. I used a Martha Stewart butterfly punch. Made a bow and a pin. The buttons are from my stash. The pearl swirls are from Micheals. The picture doesn't really do it justice. I'm really pleased with the way this turned out.  Let me know what you think. (wish I would have had a better photo of her). Have a great weekend. Hugs, Debi

Grillin Bug Hop May 28-30...

Welcome to BugBites first ever Bug Hop, Grillin’ & Chillin’ Bug Hop!
To celebrate the beginning of summer, Barb over at BugBites is hosting two consecutive weekends of Bug Hops.
This weekend it is all about the Grillin’, May 28-30.
If you've come from visiting Ashley from Shelly Crafts, you're in the right place! If you've just happened across my blog and would like to play along with our Grillin’ & Chillin’ Bug Hop, click HERE to start from the beginning.
Each designer along the bug trail is featuring a project based on the Grillin’ & Chillin’ theme. What’s more exciting is you can participate too by creating a project and linking it up over at BugBites for a chance to win a Big Prize.
But, there’s a twist. Your project must included at least one Cricut cut and at least one of the critters that have been hidden within some of the bug stop blogs. Be sure to visit all the bug stops to find all your critter choices.
While you are looking for the critters, be sure to check out the blog candy that each designer has to offer you. You don't want to miss out on any of it!
This is my idea of Summer grilling. Laying in the sun and getting the best tan ever. And of course the place for that is on the beach.  I live only one hour away from the beautiful Pacific ocean.  I cut the hot dog from Everyday Paper Dolls. I cut it twice and layered the hot dog. I made the towel and the sun. I ran the sand through the Swiss Dot folder and sanded it lightly.  The shoes, sunglasses and hat are stickers.  Most of the paper is Recollections.  Check out my bug candy below. I'd love it if you become a follower but you have to leave a comment to be eligible to win.  Enjoy the hop. Now hop on over to
Lisa at Indy Mermaid and see what she has in store for you today.
Remember, once you have hopped to all the bug stops, it's your turn to show us your Grillin’ & Chillin’ project.
Make sure to include a Cricut cut somewhere on your project, include one of the hidden critters and link up your project over at BugBites by Midnight CST May 30 to be eligible for the big prize.
It's not big but it's good. There are 3x3 note cards with envelopes  to decorate. Some rub on transfers. A plain note book with a closure to decorate. And no bug hop would be complete without a bug punch.  I will do a random drawing on Monday morning. Thanks for stopping by.  Hugs, Debi

This is called a Lovie or a Snodel.

This is a blanket doll that is suppose to promote sleep in infants. It's called an aromatherapy doll. The parents sleep with it for a couple of nights to get their scent on it and then give it to the baby at nap time and at night time. I made it and sent it to my daughter just this past week. I hope it works.
I wondered if anyone else has heard of this type of doll? They say that they are used for very small, premature babies and also in children hospitals. My daughter just wanted one to promote naps. I guess we'll see if it works. I'll keep you posted. The web site for these is www.snoedel.com but they are really very easy to make. Thank you for stopping by. Leave a comment and let me know what you think. Hey if you any idea's on how to get infants to nap during the day, please let me know so I can pass it on to my daughter.
Hugs, Debi

A Challenge at Cardz TV

This challenge is to use any fruit. This is what I came up with. I used stickles on the grapes. I like this paper. It's an older stack of DCWV. I got it very inexpensive at Joann's. I hope you will all go over and join in the challenge. Please leave a comment and let me know what you think.  Hugs, Debi

CCCC challange LO

This weeks cut was from Give a hoot.  I have to start doing some LO's of my new granddaughter. I have lots of new pic's of her. I found this little sleeping fox and it looked so cute on here. The word are some stickers. The paper is K&Company...Best of Brenda Walton. The pic corners are from the Jasmine cart. The flowers are from my stash. Hope you like it as much as I do. Leave me a comment and let me know what you think.

Seed packet box

Isn't this box cute? It's super easy to make. It holds 10 or more packets of seeds. You can find the directions here. I gave this to my sister for her birthday. She loved it. The cut is from Freshly Picked. The flowers are from my stash. The paper is from Colorbok (exclusive of Walmart). Hope everyone had a very wonderful Mother's Day. Please leave a comment and if you make this box come back and let me know so I can come to your blog and look. Hugs, Debi

A mother's day card for my daughter.

This is a different kind of card. It's called a suprise pop up card. You can find how it's done here. I made it so that it's also a card when you open it up but you can also just use the tag and the pop up for the card in it's self. I used a cut from "A Child's Year". The paper is from a very old DCWV paper stack. I used some pop up sticker flowers and I added some stickles to a few of the dots. I was really happy with the way it turned out. I make alot of cards and forget to take pictures of them before I mail them out. I hope I'm not the only one who does that. Here's what it looks like when you pull the tag up.
Okay, let me know what you think. Oops, it's hard to tell what it says inside. "A mother holds her child's hand for awhile, their hearts forever". Happy Mother's Day to you all. Big Hugs, Debi

Altered coffee can...

This was a regular old coffee can. (Yuban) I measured the up and the round and used sticky tape to put the paper on it. I cut the cookies out of From my Kitchen and that paper was self stick em...but I still had to add a little bit of sticky tape to the part that was rounded. You know paper doesn't really stick well to rounded projects. We learn as we go. So now I have a good looking cookies can. Really easy. Hope you like it. BTW...it keeps the cookies fresh too. Let me know what you think. Hugs as always, Debi

Papercutz Challange...a LO using buttons and, or bows...

This is my new Grand daughter. Again, the coloring is so awful. I took many photo's but they were all coming out with this awful yellowish tint. But, here is my entry for the Papercutz challange. We had to do a LO using buttons and bows. The frames I used on here are from my stash. I tryed to cut some out on my Gypsy but they wouldn't cut out the size I needed so I just used these. This adorable paper (that you can hardly see) is from K & Co. Best of Brendra Walton. Most of it is very girly paper. My daughter did her nusery in jungle babies so I cut out some animals. There are buttons and bows in the upper right corner and a pretty pink bow in the center right. I think she is the cutest girl ever...but then I'm the grandma...lol. Thanks for stopping by and checking this out. I hope you'll leave a comment. Hugs, Debi

Mag Challange #22...Everyday Paperdolls pg. 68

This was a fun challange. I havn't used this cart in so long. I'v forgotten what cute things are on it. I don't know why the coloring is this photo is so bad but I gave this man gray hair. The only paper I know I used on here is the back ground paper and it is Tim Holtz, Vintage photos. The other papers are just recolletions from Micheals. Please leave a comment. If you have any idea's how to make the color in the picture a little better, I could use any advice. Thanks so much for stopping by... Hugs, Debi

Sister card.

"Like branches on a tree, we may grow in different directions, yet our roots remain as one."
That's what the inside of this card says. I just loved that saying and it was perfect for my sister who is 7 yrs older then myself. We are so different but we look alot alike. She is my best friend and I love her so much. I love all my sisters but she just holds a special place in my heart. I tell her she is an angle on earth.
I just love vintage cards and I was trying to achieve that look on this card but for some reason it didn't turn out very vintage looking.  Maybe it was the background paper. I have a hard time getting that look on any  of my cards. But on the other hand, I'm really happy with the way this turned out. I used A Child's Year for the cut. The word sisters are stickers and the word dream is a rub on. The paper is DCWV.  It's a A2 size card. I hope you'll leave a comment and tell me what you think. Hugs, Debi

Apr 9, 2011

This is a birthday card for my sister. It's a Z fold card. I got this whole idea from Mary at Cardz TV. She did a video on it so it was very easy to follow and easy to make. The ladybug is from Create a Critter. and the daisy is from Doodlecharms. It will fit in a A2 size envelope. All the paper came from a stash I had in my basket. I think this card turned out really cute. Leave me a comment and let me know what you think.
Hugs, Debi

Most recent Bday card...Scroll down for the April fools hop.

I made this card using the Micky and Friends cart. I cut this at 5". The card measures 4.5"x7". There are a lot of small cuts and very intricate cuts on this cart. so I wouldn't want to cut them much smaller than 4".
I made this card for a man who was turning 33 so I didn't want to use ribbon or bling. I didn't even even do any doodling on it. I had alot of fun making this card and I like the way it turned out.
Let me know what you think.
Hugs, Debi
