Sister card.

"Like branches on a tree, we may grow in different directions, yet our roots remain as one."

That's what the inside of this card says. I just loved that saying and it was perfect for my sister who is 7 yrs older then myself. We are so different but we look alot alike. She is my best friend and I love her so much. I love all my sisters but she just holds a special place in my heart. I tell her she is an angle on earth.

I just love vintage cards and I was trying to achieve that look on this card but for some reason it didn't turn out very vintage looking.  Maybe it was the background paper. I have a hard time getting that look on any  of my cards. But on the other hand, I'm really happy with the way this turned out. I used A Child's Year for the cut. The word sisters are stickers and the word dream is a rub on. The paper is DCWV.  It's a A2 size card. I hope you'll leave a comment and tell me what you think. Hugs, Debi

This is a birthday card for my sister. It's a Z fold card. I got this whole idea from Mary at Cardz TV. She did a video on it so it was very easy to follow and easy to make. The ladybug is from Create a Critter. and the daisy is from Doodlecharms. It will fit in a A2 size envelope. All the paper came from a stash I had in my basket. Most recent Bday card...Scroll down for the April fools hop.

I made this card using the Micky and Friends cart. I cut this at 5". The card measures 4.5"x7". There are a lot of small cuts and very intricate cuts on this cart. so I wouldn't want to cut them much smaller than 4".

I made this card for a man who was turning 33 so I didn't want to use ribbon or bling. I didn't even even do any doodling on it. I had alot of fun making this card and I like the way it turned out.

For this hop, we were asked to create a project that “tricks the eye.”  I really had to dig deep in my thought process. My first thought was to make an animal with a human head. But then I came up with something even better then that. What better way to trick the eye then to use the same paper but in a different direction?

So even though it's hard to see (and it's suppose to be) here is a card that says "The Big Day"  Thanks April for letting me join in your Blog Hop. I can't believe I got to be in this with all the other talented crafters. I had alot of fun creating this card and I think it turned out pretty good.

Wacky Wed. Challenge and Ugly Paper Challenge.

I want to enter this card in two challenges. Paula, over at More Then Favors is having Wacky Wed and it is a man card. And Queen Of My Craft Room is having an ugly paper challenge. I think this card will do for both. I think this paper looks like the old fabric they used to make mattresses out of...blah. Here is a bunny card for Mary's challange over at Cardz TV. Most everyone knows her and knows she is the sweetest gal on the blog. The bunny was cut from "Live Simply" lite cart. The grass was cut from ... oh now I don't remember, I used my Gypsy to find it. (sorry) The flower is a sticker and the so called banner above is design paper by Debbie Mum, and I just cut out part of it that I thought kind of looked like Easter eggs. lol...

CCC Challange card.

All righty then, I finely made a card for a challange. Cricut Cards Challage...can you tell what the colors were we are suppose to use? These are not my fave's but it turned out fine. Blue, yellow and white. Now for some reason I think brown went good with these. The florish if from SFTN. All the card stock is from my scraps and stash. Oh darn, I should have put a little bling right in the center of the florish. Well I still will. I'm going to mail this to my sweet cuz in MN. She mailed me some very old pic's of our mothers when they were young and some of us when we were young and they traveled here is the summer. I owe her a nice thanks. Man Bday card

Finely I'm posting a card.

I just haven't felt like doing much. My oldest brother passed away in Dec. and I started to scrap some pictures of  him when he was younger and even some recent pic's of him with his kids and grand kids. I had to stop. I will get back to them at a later time. I started missing him so much I guess it put me in a sad mood for awhile.

Okay on with this card. I made this card for my honey. He is a Leo so I did a lion card. The paper is from DCWV the Rock Stack. I just love this paper for my boys, who are older and love to play guitars. But it works great for almost any man card. The lion is a sticker, it's really nice, it's fuzzy and the mane is almost like fur. I cut the grass from the Everyday Paper Dolls. It's an A2 size card. The pic doesn't do it justice but then they hardly ever do. So, let me know what you think. I'm trying to get into the crafting mode.  Hugs, Debi

A thank you card.

I did this card about 3 weeks ago. I decided I would post it. I'v been busy getting ready for a trip and I made a banner for my Grand baby who isn't here yet but will be soon. I didn't get a picture of the banner at home but there is one at the shower I will post it but it does not do it justise. Okay so on with this post. I won this beautiful stamp set on Alexe's Bday blog. This is a thank you card I made her. I embossed the flourish and then inked over it. The papers are from my stash and the sweet flowers I got from Miegan at 30redee's chick. It's a simple card with a big message. Hope you like it.

CCC challange...if your looking for the give away scroll down

No, the cat isn't cross eyed...lol...it's just the lighting. I did this card on my gypsy...i'm learning. I used the Indie cart for the crown and Paisly cart for the frog and the hearts are from Doodlecharms. The papers are from DCWV. It's a very old stack but it's still nice paper. So this is my man card. I want to print this picture to put in it cuz we both love our cat.  He's taken over my craft table. FIF Challange and Momo's Tues. Challange

I want to enter this card in two challanges. Flaunt it Friday. I don't have the pups cart. so I thought this would work. Made by Momo is black, white and hot pink...with a heart.  The cuts are from ACY and the printed paper is K & Company, Best of Brenda Walton. The border punch is from Recolections. The sentiment is computer generated and the flower is from my stash. This is reg A2 size card.  I thought it came out pretty cute. Thank you card...

This was cut from the Paisley cart. It's just an A2 size card. The patterned papers are DCWV and I'm not sure of the name of the stacks, I've had them for some time. In the background is my cat. He has taken over my craft space. It's hard to get mad at him cuz it's his way of showing affection. He's not a real touchy cat but he's my sweety.

Flaunt it Friday challenge.

We are suppose to use the martini glass from From My Kithen cart. There is a bling in that shine. This turned out to be a thank you card. Its a fast card but I didnt have alot of time so all in all it turned out okay. It is a reg A2 size card. The glass was cut at 3.5".   Thanks for stopping by.

New Years card...2011

New Years. Here's what I came up with. All the cuts are from Give a Hoot. The welcome and the numbers are stickers. (is that cheating?) The bow and string are just embroidery floss. I think it turned out okay. While I was gluing somethings down I found my Zig glue pen had been used by someone for something and it was not in good shape so I got upset. I should have put it down and come back to it. Well you know what the say happens.

Card, tag and bow I made for my sister.

Well, I made each of my sisters and my brother a shadow box  with an old picture of our mother in it. Then I made each one a special card and matching tag and a matching bow to go on the wrapped gift. Your can't see it very well here but I even made my own wrapping paper. Momo's Tues. Challenge

Well this is just a brown paper bag I coverd with paper. The paper is from Cloud nine, Holiday collection. I cut the trees from Doodle Charms and the snow flakes are from a cuddle bug die. The ribbion is just the good ol' curly ribbion. I cut the snowy hill free hand and used some glitter glue along the edge but you cant see it very well in the picture. Hope you like it. I think I put to much time and and work in it for a bag that will get trashed after opened.  Hugs, Debi

CC Chalange #53

I cut the tags from the George and Basic Shape.  I used DCWV holiday stack and used a cuddle bug die to cut the snow flakes. Tied some bows and added some ties.  Simple and sweet. Nothing like waiting for the last minuit.  Hugs, Debi
