Finely another post...

I don't know how people find the time to post on their blogs everyday...I can't even do it weekly. But I'm always happy when I do post something, at least I can look back at what I've done over the past and smile. I'm always busy making things but forget to take pictures of them. But I took one of this card I made for my sister. She has traveled a lot over the years and is very adventurous. The paper is an old pack from Michaels. The stamps are from Inkadinkado. I'm was happy with the way this card turned out. Don't forget, I always enjoy your comments. Hugs, Debi

Not wireless!

I just had to share this.  I hope we still remember to pray in these fast and furious times. I don't claim to be over the top when it comes to church or religion but I believe we all have need to be thankful and ask for help now and then. Thanks for stopping by. Hugs, Debi

Get well card!

My BBF had back surgery so I made her a get well card. I got this picture from the internet and I really don't remember where. I cut around it and punched a border with a MS punch. The hugs stamp is from Scrappy Moms...it's an oldie but a goodie.  On the inside I just wrote her personal messages on the off white paper with the same punched little flowers.  Hope you like it.  Big hugs, Debi

Stand and Salute

I have a niece that joined the Coast Guard, so I made her this card.  I used the Stand and Salute.  There sure are a lot of nice images on the cart.  I sure do like my Gypsy for things like this when there are several things to cut for one card.  Okay, that's it. Thanks so much looking today...let me know how you used this cartridge.  Hugs, Debi

Sympathy card

A very good friend of mine's sister was killed in a tragic car accident.  I can not tell you how much my heart went out to her.  If I was to loose one of my sister's like that it would maybe kill me too from the heart ache.  So anyway this is the sympathy card I made for her. It is mostly the design on the papers but I did add some ribbon and a butterfly with some small pearls.  On the inside I stamped a saying from a Scrappy Mom's stamp set, "God won't bring you to it if he can't get you through it".  I guess as we get older we loose ones that we love. Loosing my Mother was one of the hardest things I've ever had to get over but I did even though a day does pass that I don't think of her or see or say something that reminds me of her.
Thank you for visiting my blog and I want to send you all warm hugs, Debi

This is a pop up card too. The heart is put on a cut out from the outside of the card and the cut out is covered with the card base. Very easy and fun. I really like the way this turned out. This pic is my son in law and grand daughter. Was taken last year. Thanks for looking. Hugs, Debi

Sunny Side Up in San Diego: Chocolate Cake with Peanut Butter Frosting

Sunny Side Up in San Diego: Chocolate Cake with Peanut Butter Frosting: This cake is a match made in heaven for me. It's a rich, almost fudge like, cake topped with a light and creamy peanut butter frosting....

I wanted to try putting a picture on a candle. The first one I did looked pretty bad so I kept trying until I finely had one that looked okay. This was a Mother's Day gift to my daughter. And the card. Thanks for stopping by. Hugs, Debi

This card is a quilt card. Inside I stamped...Thinking of you!  I think I should have used more contrasting paper so the quilt pattern would have popped a bit more. But in the tutorial these are very close to what she used.
You can find the tutorial here http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/resources/tutorials/quiltedcard/  Of course we all put our own little touches on what we make. Thanks for stopping by. You know I love comments.

Birthday card...by my Son

Believe it or not...my son made this card. The only thing I did was tie the bow. He found this great paper he liked and took off. He has a lot of artisic ability any way. He can draw some of the greatest pictures with paint or pens. He cut the fairy out with a craft knife and used the same paper to put her on. He went thru some of my emblie's and picked out a few he liked. He made this for his girl friend. He is 30. I was so impressed I just had to post this. I hope you like this. Please leave a comment so I can share them with him. Thanks for looking today. Hugs, Debi

Some of my Christmas cards

Here are some Christmas cards I made this year. There were more but I mailed them out before I realized I forgot to take a picture of them. I do that with a lot of my projects. I've been checking out a lot of blogs and You Tube and some of the cards are so lovely they make my jaw drop. Merry Christmas to all you wonderful talented, bloggy friends. Be safe and God Bless...Hugs, Debi

Advent calender

I made this Advent Calendar for my daughter. It's made out of small match boxes. I put ribbon for the pulls and decorated the boxes with paper. Used some bling, flowers, cricut cuts and numbers. The over all size it about 12x12. There are also some stickers. I only did it for the odd days of Dec. If I would have done one for each day, it would have been way too big.  Let me know if you made an Advent calendar, I'd love to come look at it. Hugs, Debi

Santa card

Isn't this card cute? I can't take credit for the idea of the beard on this card. I saw a card like this over at Tracey's web site...craft junky too. She made the cutest card like this (only better) and I wanted to try my hand at it. It's not the same but I put my own twist on this one. I think she is the queen of doodling. Okay, I just wanted to share this card with you all today.  Yes I did give it away lol.  I'm almost done with all my Christmas projects. Hugs, Debi

Ya hoo...another entry.  I'm not much of a baker but my hubby just loves these cookies fresh from the oven. My sister taught me when I was young that the secret to a good cookie is not to over bake it. These came out so nice and soft and crinkled on the top just like they should. My favorite cookies is a suger cookies with frosting on top. Tell me what your favirite cookie is. Happy baking... Hugs, Debi
