This is called a Lovie or a Snodel.

This is a blanket doll that is suppose to promote sleep in infants. It's called an aromatherapy doll. The parents sleep with it for a couple of nights to get their scent on it and then give it to the baby at nap time and at night time. I made it and sent it to my daughter just this past week. I hope it works.
I wondered if anyone else has heard of this type of doll? They say that they are used for very small, premature babies and also in children hospitals. My daughter just wanted one to promote naps. I guess we'll see if it works. I'll keep you posted. The web site for these is www.snoedel.com but they are really very easy to make. Thank you for stopping by. Leave a comment and let me know what you think. Hey if you any idea's on how to get infants to nap during the day, please let me know so I can pass it on to my daughter.
Hugs, Debi

  1. This blanket sounds pretty cool but, I have never heard of them before. Looks kind of cool too. It sounds like she is having trouble with nap time :0( I never had this problem with any of my four boys. They slept very well for daytime naps. I wish her luck! Hugs ~Schell

  2. I have never heard of a blanket like this. But I did find with my second child (my son) I ended up giving him my pillow when we transferred him from our bed to his - my smell was on my pillow and made him more comfortable and the result being he slept in his own bed.
